time away

Acting busy doesnt get u busy."    There couldn't have been a better day to come across this line than today, considering that i am just a day away from my results which implies my days of joblesness wil soon be gone.Yeah come on we all have our days of utter joblesness and boredom.Days when all u need to do is eat and sleep(not to mention attending nature's call).I have been having these days since the past one month o_O thanks to my wait for the results. Ok now everyone at home seems to think i am being useless but i so beg to differ (with good reasons, eh).
I could describe the past month as an introspection month. I mean seriously how many of us ever take time out to evaluate and analyse things. I have actually been doing this since a month which is a luxury :) now my subjects of evaluation and  blah blah is not of any concern coz ultimately what matters is i could take out time( since i had it in abundance) which is one of the primary reasons i am blogging.
But one think i realised during this entire while is that living in a city like Mumbai(known for its lightning fast speed) is not very conducive for evaluation and bull-shit. the downside being that while you are observing people around as part of your observation program (in other words while-away-time program) you could get yourself stared at for seeming like a total ass without a work to do.And if u plan to carry out your waste time motto(as my mom describes it) on a working day peak hour you could be pushed aside for not walking fast enough for Mumbai o_O.
This was my experience of a month with free time dancing around me.Thought would jot it down. why? well like i said i have nothing else to do.

Agree..Diagree...Agree..!!

Scene 1 :- Classroom for Ca Ipcc orientation program where our new professor just started his session. There i was  utterly bored and seemingly disinterested !
what do you mean by AGREE TO DISAGREE ? woah instantly he had my attention with those last three words, not that i knew what it exactly meant but out of curiosity i started listening.Through the next one &half hour we had a lot of agree ,agreeing, disagreeable and so on. By the end of the session i was exasperated with this crap partly because of hunger and partly because of boredom.
Scene 2:- Home, morning daily in hand, yet again i spot those three words...'agree to disagree' , puts my brain to tick tock ..!!
Somehow we Indians are just as bad practising the above said action if not worse than the Chinese trying to make worthwhile electronic products !
How many times have we ended an argument with note of being able to agree to disagree with each other..rarity *sigh*
Not to forget the recent Salman Rushdie row at the Jaipur literary meet just reinstates my claim. It was a classic case showing our level of intolerance towards others opinion. Come on, what on earth can justify(apart from the upcoming polls) banning a person-both in his physical form and even through video link.
Next our government might even stop people from taking Rushdie's name..eh? And we might have to refer to him as,mmm..maybe 'One-who-must-not-be-named'...sounds ridiculous..?? That's exactly what we make ourselves to be with this attitude, RIDICULOUS..!
Even authors who read out a paragraph(4rm a page)  from 'THE SATANIC VERSES' were threatened. What we do best is cover up our intolerance towards others opinion as relative restriction on the freedom of speech..yeah right , bullshit ! One of the headlines today reads 'Youth killed for taking too long in the loo '..yeah you read it just right..haven't we been hearing about a lot of arguments turning leading to someone being killed.
That seems to be the only alternative people can think of when someone doesn't agree with us -"   if you don't agree with me , i am going to kill you."      Where are we headed with this sort of attitude ??
And if you don't agree with me...well then !!!

3 reasons to..mmm

I have always had this in head, that if & when i start blogging my 1st post would definitely be about reasons i thought of blogging. After all everything has a reason, eh?
For one , i love putting across my opinions(irrespective of the topic).Yeah i could give you my opinions on subjects ranging from 1-Why Indian politics is in a sorry state to 2-Why Kareena Kapoor should never be size zero again.I guess this explains it , yeah i can talk on the worst of topics not to mention the most insignificant crap.Blogging is a pretty easy way to do that without being reprimanded or worse boring someone o_O
For two, i read somewhere that blogging might actually become your stepping stone to freelancing :) Ha ha did i forget to mention that i am a wannabe freelance columnist. I absolutely love my daily dose of editorial columns & dream to have my very own column in a flashy newspaper..(sigh)
And the third reason being - blogging is quite an in thing for now. Eh, i know quite a shallow reason right, but i wanted to complete 3 reasons & couldn't think of a 3rd rational reason..wondering why three ?? :-/

 3 steps to being successful.
3 steps to making money.
3 steps to be famous..
yeah, got it..google up..!!
